WIDE ANGLE
SCRIPT EDIT  •  ILLUSTRATION
This project provided an interesting change of pace as the main characters had already been designed for use in the Wide Angle publication. The brief was to bring the characters to life in an engaging manner across a series of different light-hearted situations that revolved around the miscommunications that can happen when non-native English speakers interpret the language too literally.
Once the script was refined and finalised, the source figure illustrations were taken and changed to provide a range of different clothing, gestures and postures that could be used within each scene.
The original illustration style was also carefully mirrored when creating all the background elements needed to place the characters within a scene and the additional elements needed to drive the narrative. The illustrations were then brought to life in a jaunty, almost paper cut figure manner befitting of the illustration style to create a playful series of scenarios.
